Out of Bounds at the Lightcatcher

This Saturday, November 14 the Whatcom Museum of History and Art in Bellingham, WA celebrates the grand opening of its Lightcatcher building with the exhibition Out of Bounds: Art from the Collection of Driek and Michael Zirinsky:

The Lightcatcher building’s inaugural exhibition surveys some of the latest developments in contemporary art. It features over more than 80 compelling works in all media – painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, video, and installation art. Artists from around the world, both internationally recognized and emerging, are represented, including: Enrique Chagoya (Mexico), Long-Bin Chen (China); Chuck Close (New York); Olafur Eliasson (Iceland); Till Freiwald (Germany); Nina Katchadourian (New York); Lead Pencil Studio (Seattle), Hung Liu (San Francisco); Dinh Q. Lê (Vietnam); William Kentridge (South Africa); Lucy Skaer (England).

Marquand produced the accompanying 48-page catalog, available at the museum. Admission is free on November 14. The show runs until March 21.
