Gimhongsok (born 1964 in Seoul, Korea; lives and works in Seoul) fabricates and orchestrates fictional realities in a diversity of forms—video, sculpture, performance, paintings, and installations. All of his works convey his interest in visual and linguistic interaction, conflict, and play. Gimhongsok carefully creates elaborate frameworks and vessels through which to view the absurd roundabout and inexact science of translation and languages.
